Overview
Prof. Igor Krnetić, PhD, is the pioneer of the third wave CBT in the Western Balkans and is a Certified CBT Supervisor since 2007. He has been applying CFT in his clinical work since 2013 and has been taught by founder Paul Gilbert. Co-authored with Paul Gilbert the chapter on CFT in the first comprehensive book on CBT in the local language “CBT Today: Development and Changes.”
Prof. Igor Krnetić founded the first training center for CBT in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and first in the Western Balkans began to deliver trainings in third wave CBT for mental health professionals. He delivered CFT trainings in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Banja Luka and Sarajevo), Serbia (Belgrade and Novi Sad), Croatia (Zagreb and Split) and Slovenia (Ljubljana), and in mid-October each year it organizes a 12 Week Training Course in Compassion Focused ACT in his training center for CBT in Banja Luka.
Prof. Igor Krnetić also founded Center for Mindfulness, in collaboration with his student and colleague Mario Maričić, guided by the idea of researching, enhancing and promoting mindfulness and compassion in daily life and within the third wave of CBT, as well as helping young colleagues and students to begin their careers as psychotherapists and counselors. In accordance with this idea, he financed the establishment of the Student Counseling Center and provide training activities for the integrating mindfulness and compassion in daily life of mental health professionals, and continuously provide pro bono supervision for counselors engaged at the Center for Mindfulness.

Prof. Igor Krnetić has been applying CFT in his clinical work since 2013 and deliver trainings in CFT for mental health professionals in Western Balkans region.
