Igor Krnetic, PhD, is a former university professor of psychopathology and psychotherapy. After 18 years of academic work, he voluntarily resigned from his university position to fully dedicate himself to psychotherapy practice, education, and supervision.
Since 2007, he has been leading a four-year training program in CBT in accordance with the training standards of the European Association for Behaviour and Cognitive Therapies. Since 2011, he has conducted over 60 trainings in third-wave CBT and has trained more than 1000 professionals in numerous cities across the former Yugoslavia (Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, and Ljubljana), as well as in Uganda (Kampala).
He has been continuously leading a regional online supervision group in CFT since 2019.

I participated in the first online cohort of CFT by the Compassionate Mind Foundation (2023). I completed training in Clinical Supervision in CFT and have received supervision from Wendy Wood. I regularly (monthly) participate in a group with colleagues under the supervision of Dr. Paul Gilbert and Wendy Wood. In 2024, I completed training in Compassion Focused Therapy and Parenting with James Kirby. I also take part in monthly online meetings with the Compassionate Mind for Grief and Loss group led by Darcy Harris.
