I have been delivering 1:1 CFT for 4 years, under the supervision of practitioners who have received training in, and are passionate about, CFT. I have been most influenced in my CFT practice by Dr Tobyn Bell. Dr Bell supervised me clinically during my clinical training, and was also my primary supervisor for my doctoral thesis. Together we explored shame memories and Compassion-Focused chairwork techniques, which resulted in the thesis being published. I have since delivered training on CFT and CFT related topics, such as Compassion-Focused chairwork, to teams of professionals. As a clinical psychologist in the NHS, I continue to deliver 1:1 CFT to clients presenting with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
