Overview
I’m a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, trained in Compassion Focused Therapy and used to work as a clinical psychologist alongside Paul Gilbert in the early days of CFT back in the day, in 2003 when I obtained my doctorate. I have published research in compassion focused therapy with people experiencing psychosis and written a book chapter. I have provided CFT training on behalf of the Compassionate Mind Foundation and CFT supervision.
I have over 25 years of experience as a psychologist, 22 of these in the NHS predominantly working with Adults with complex and severe mental health problems. I specialised in psychosis. I currently work in my own practice in Cornwall with adults over 18, experiencing mental half the problems, specialising in Compassion Focused Therapy. I also use ACT and CBT approaches. The majority of my therapy work uses a CFT approach. Another aspect of my work is that I am an Expert Witness in Civil Litigation for the courts.
I have a clinic in Tavistock, Devon as well as providing remote therapy from my home office.
I am also Chair of Governors for 2 local primary schools.
