Hello,
I am a psychologist from Croatia (Zagreb) with a MSc degree in Psychology from Charles University in Prague (graduated in 2001 with thesis: „Moral judgment of women and men: Relationship between moral judgment and gender identity”) and a postgraduate certificate in Compassion Focused Therapy from University of Derby (graduated in 2017).
During my Master’s studies I inclined more to biological and experimental side of psychology, being a true lover of behaviourism, evolutionary psychology & ethology and «neuro» subjects. Psychotherapy was my first choice; however, my path has not been straightforward. I spent seven years working in the human resources consulting field of psychology.
In 2011 I decided to change the course of my professional life and started a cognitive-behavioural therapy training. In the second phase of the training I came across Paul Gilbert’s book «Compassion Focused Therapy, Distinctive Features» and felt a strong concordance of thoughts and opinions, reliving my love for the certain ideas and fields of psychology. I read other Paul Gilbert’s books and decided to enrol in the CFT Training Programme at Derby University, wanting to use the chance to learn from the founder of CFT.
Today I work at a private practice in Zagreb and in addition to CFT, I also practice CBT, ACT and MBCT. I hold mindfulness and autogenic training trainings.
I continually educate myself in the field of psychotherapy and psychodiagnostics. I have attended many professional workshops related to CBT, mindfulness, CFT, ACT and psychodiagnostics. I presented at the first CBT conference organised by the Croatian Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies and some other venues in Croatia.
In the past few years, I have been dedicated to bringing CFT to Croatia by intensifying my therapeutic work, giving presentations about CFT at conferences in Croatia and organising CFT introductory workshops and presentations.
My main interests are psychophysiology, neuroscience, attachment styles in adulthood, evolutionary psychology, epigenetics, behaviourism, developmental and social psychology. I take great care of ethics in my work and value a responsible attitude to life and work.
Please, feel free to contact me for any additional information. I’ll be glad to assist.
