Website

I am a registered Clinical & Forensic psychologist with over 10 years’ experience supporting men with complex mental health needs, trauma histories, and offending-related difficulties. My background is primarily in secure inpatient services, where I developed a strong interest in compassion-focused approaches for individuals struggling with shame, threat-based responding, and self-criticism.

I now run a private practice specialising in Compassion-Focused Therapy and men’s mental health. I offer individual CFT-informed therapy, emotional regulation work, and support around anger, shame, relationship difficulties, anxiety and depression. CFT’s emphasis on courage and emotional regulation aligns well with my work supporting men who may feel hesitant about therapy or who have learned to cope through suppression, anger, or self-reliance.

My practice is supported by ongoing CFT-specific supervision and training through the Compassionate Mind Foundation.

I completed my Introduction to CFT training in February 2024 and began integrating CFT into my work with men experiencing complex mental health difficulties within my NHS inpatient role. Since starting my private practice in October 2024, I have continued to specialise in applying CFT with men who struggle with shame, self-criticism, emotion regulation, anxiety and depression. My supervision has evolved alongside my practice. Historically, I attended regular monthly group supervision within my NHS role. Since moving into private practice, I now receive monthly individual CFT-informed supervision to support my ongoing development. I also engage in continued CPD, including reading core CFT texts and booking further specialist training (e.g., Chairwork).
