Dr Claire Franklin

Website

I am a clinical psychologist based in NW London who works both in the NHS and in private practice. The philosophy of CFT makes sense to me and I adopt this lens with many of my clients, particularly those dealing with issues such as mood disorders (anxiety and depression), long-term physical and/or neurological health conditions, perfectionism, and trauma.

I support adolescents and adults experiencing a wide spectrum of psychological issues, including depression, anxiety, neurodiversity, learning disability, self-harm, long term health conditions such as ME/Chronic fatigue syndrome, and neurological conditions such as dementia and acquired brain injuries. I like to work collaboratively with my clients. My specialist interests include trauma, family carers, post-diagnostic support, and dealing with life-limiting and neurological conditions, but really, I like to see the person in front of me, rather than the issue.

I have worked in several NHS services in London and Hertfordshire, including services supporting people with brain injuries, learning disabilities, dementia, mild to moderate and severe and enduring mental health difficulties, neurodiversity, and ME/Chronic fatigue syndrome.

I currently work part-time in a neurological rehabilitation service and work privately one day per week.
