I was first introduced to Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) by Paul Gilbert in 2004 whilst studying at the University of Derby for an MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. After 15 years working in a number of mental health services in the NHS I am in private practice where my focus is on offering CFT to individuals and in the future to groups.

MSc Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy

BABCP Accredited Therapist and Supervisor

I have attended numerous and various CFT workshops and conferences over the 17 years since I was first introduced to CFT. Whilst working in an NHS tertiary CBT service I was able to incorporate CFT principles and blended CFT interventions with CBT to good effect (as reported by patients) and I had the privilege of being supervised by Paul Gilbert. In 2019 I finally achieved a long-held ambition of completing the Post Graduate Diploma in Compassion-Focused Therapy at the University of Birmingham whilst on clinical placement in a NHS Perinatal Mental Health Service and supervised by the course director Ken Goss. I am now in private practice and being supervised by Kate Lucre.
