Chris Fraser is the owner of Positive Path Counseling in Dublin, Ohio.  Since 1998, Mr. Fraser has served a variety of individual clients, couples, and families in both public and private settings.  Mr. Fraser has a passion for and an expertise in helping children and adults learn mindfulness and self compassion skills.  Chris helps children, individuals and families to be the best versions of themselves through developing compassionate mind skills.

 

Mr. Fraser has 20 years of experience and intensive training in systemic family therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy and compassion focused therapy. Mr. Fraser works primarily from an authentic pairing of CFT (compassion focused therapy) and ACT (acceptance commitment therapy). Chris has been very fortunate to have trained with the creators of these therapeutic approaches.  Mr. Fraser speaks on these topics locally, nationally, and internationally. Chris is a member of the Compassionate Mind Foundation USA and is a member of The Center for Compassion Focused Therapy CFT Consultation Team.

 

Mr. Fraser works with clients (children, adolescents, adults, and families) who have a variety of presenting problems and concerns.  Additionally, since 2004 Mr. Fraser has performed as an adjunct instructor at The Ohio State University College of Social Work where he has taught courses in marriage and family therapy and social work with individuals.  Mr. Fraser has co-facilitated domestic violence groups for the court system; facilitated a kids in care group for parents who have had their children placed outside their home by children services. Mr. Fraser worked on an early childhood mental health initiative grant funded by the state of Ohio in which he facilitated parenting groups and social skills training groups for children to reduce aggression. He sat on a committee for this grant through the Ohio State Board of Mental Health. He also created and facilitated a group for overwhelmed parents of strong willed children with the ADHD diagnosis. Mr. Fraser at this moment is in the process of developing the Compassionate Focused Therapy and Wellness Center of the Midwest. Chris is also in the process of writing a Compassion Focused Therapy workbook for adolescents.
