My name is Daniel Jiménez, and I’m a therapist from the Dominican Republic. I enjoy being in contact with nature, role-playing games, and spending time with my family and friends.

I trained in CBT at University of Derby, where I also learned the basics of CFT and mindfulness, which are now key components of my therapeutic approach. My private practice is based in the Dominican Republic, but I also provide online sessions for clients all over the world. I’m bilingual; my mother language is Spanish.

My approach is widely based on CFT, and I frequently employ techniques such as chair work, self-compassion visualization, grounding and soothing meditation. My area of expertise is emotional dysregulation, and I often work with clients suffering from anxiety, depression and anger-related issues.

I have a MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy. I have received formal supervision since 2015 in both CBT and CFT. I have worked in the clinical context since 2013. I’ve been involved in research (e.g. how self-compassion predicts anxiety and depression), conferences, workshops and talks on CFT, mindfulness and emotional regulation. I’m also the co-founder of @vinculacionconsciente (you can find us on Instagram or Facebook), where we dedicate ourselves to teaching and training in emotional regulation, mindfulness and compassion.
